ProgWest confirms first bands for 2002 From the PW wesbite: ProgWest 2002 is afoot! It will take place on November 9th and 10th, 2002 (Saturday and Sunday) in beautiful Claremont, California. Confirmed bands include:
NDV and Special Guests Performing the Music of Kevin Gilbert, including The Shaming of the True NDV is one Nick D'Virgilio, a talented drummer and multi-instrumentalist known for his work with Spock's Beard, The Mike Keneally Band, Kevin Gilbert, Tears for Fears, Genesis, and countless other projects. He recently released his first solo CD, Karma, a classy and emotive slice of progressive pop. Hailing from upstate New York, Izz are a talented young band who have made a name for themselves through heavy gigging and their diverse and unique debut CD, Sliver of a Sun. Their follow-up, I Move, should be out by the time you read this and will turn the progressive rock world on its ear. Avant Garden are a Sacramento-based four-piece who rock with abandon. Previously known as Spirit Circle, their performances for the Expose Concert Series revealed a band with great potential, realized in the challenging instrumental tapestries of their debut CD, Maelstrom. ProgWest is proud to host Avant Garden in their first-ever Southern California performance.
